Chief Commercial Officer – Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

£65,000 - £70,000 DOE plus benefits

We are recruiting for a commercially driven Chief Commercial Officer to lead the next phase of growth for an ambitious, technology-led healthcare business. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned commercial leader who thrives on challenge and is motivated by bringing innovative medical solutions to market.  This is a full-time permanent hybrid role and you will need to spend 1 day a week in the Cambridge office.

The successful candidate will bring deep experience within private healthcare and a background in cardiology or medical devices. They will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and possess an established network of industry contacts to accelerate market penetration.

The CCO will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic promotion of products to NHS bodies, healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders. The role combines direct sales activities with marketing initiatives to build brand presence, customer loyalty and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth across B2C healthcare products and services

·         Lead the go-to-market strategy for a new, technology-enabled medical device, including positioning, pricing, and distribution channels

·         Leverage existing relationships within private healthcare providers, insurers, and cardiology networks to generate new business opportunities

·         Implement and maintain sales process to achieve sales objectives.

·         Identify and pursue new business opportunities with NHS Trusts, ICBs, pharmacies and healthcare professionals.

·         Contribute to brand development strategies, product launches and competitive analysis.

Requirements

·         Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within private healthcare

·         Strong track record of working with organisations such as private healthcare providers

·         Deep understanding of cardiology services, pathways, or related medical technologies

·         Demonstrable success in selling B2C healthcare products or services

·         Experience launching and scaling new products, ideally medical devices or technology-driven healthcare solutions

·         Well-established network of key industry stakeholders and decision-makers

·         Strategic mindset with the ability to execute at pace in a fast-growing environment

·         Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Essential

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the medical devices or healthcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the NHS structure and procurement processes.

Desirable

  • Experience with internationalisation strategies in marketing, particularly within healthcare or diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with diabetes-related products.
  • Digital marketing knowledge (SEO, email campaigns, social media).
  • Clinical or technical background to support product understanding.
