We are working for an award-winning independent marketing and consulting firm who are experts in higher education, travel and lifestyle sectors and they are looking for a Social Media Manager to join their busy team.

Job Description

What You’ll Bring:

The successful applicant will carry out the following duties:

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design. Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Ensure social media activity is tracked correctly using both click and URL tracking tools

The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in the following:

  • Use of social media platforms in a professional capacity
  • A few years proven work experience as a Social Media Manager
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Planning and integrating social media tactics within marketing campaigns
  • Use of social software
  • Excellent copywriting skills, and proficient in content creation and planning / execution
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with web design
  • As a Social Media Manager, you will be expected to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to express the company’s views creatively
  • A team player with a pragmatic “get things done” attitude
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
  • A Journalistic background would be an advantage

The Successful Candidate

This role is to oversee and manage client’s social media strategy and implementation, so experience of using the relevant dashboards for Facebook / Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn is essential.
