Senior Account Manager – Chichester, West Sussex / WFH

Salary DOE plus benefits

The working pattern could be hybrid, but ideally 3 days in the office per week as a minimum, to ensure everyone is working effectively as a creative team.

About our Client

Our client is an energetic design consultancy with a successful 36-year history, with an international healthcare bias, with customers based in the USA and Europe.  Due to expansion, they are looking for a Senior Account Manager ideally with previous experience within the healthcare sector, to join their busy team.

Job Description

You will work with client-side subject matter experts to ensure effective marketing strategies, playbooks and assets are generated.

What You’ll Bring:

The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:

  • Be accountable for the direction, delivery and financial growth and management of a portfolio of client accounts; proactively initiating actions to maximise growth and profitability
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to clients, cultivating strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and assisting them to achieve their goals through the proposal and development of high-quality communication solutions
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer organisations and high visibility within them, generating quality contact with senior-level client stakeholders both within client teams and across product franchises
  • Raise the profile of the agency within target client companies
  • Provide strategic direction on allocated accounts encompassing all aspects of programme / project development using knowledge of market issues, company, and strategic project objectives
  • Work closely with project management team to ensure the delivery of agreed solution and take overall responsibility for the quality of deliverables and outputs ensuring client satisfaction
  • Review financial performance of allocated client portfolio, including meeting sales, servicing, profitability targets and obtaining budget sign off prior to senior review
  • Contribute to accounts’ new business development targets and in association with management team, develop targeted action plans to grow existing business and identify new business opportunities
  • Participate and lead on proposal development and sales / proposal presentations
  • Proactively participate and lead client discussions around marketing launch activities
  • Identify opportunities for business growth through new product development as well as market share
  • Collaboratively work with executive members of management team to deliver the company’s strategic plan, taking responsibility for specific assignments and company initiatives

  • Proven expertise in planning and execution of online and offline marketing campaign communication tools / messaging
  • Excellent computer literacy, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively through others in a global environment to deliver results
  • Good strategic thinking ability and ability to apply organisationally
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of good judgment and decision-making / problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or life sciences
  • Relevant account management experience within a communications agency or similar
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Solutions orientated
  • Passion for excellence – extremely detail oriented
  • Highly organised, ability to manage time and prioritise tasks / workload
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe CC, Trello, CRM etc.; database knowledge desired but not essential
  • Professional appearance and demeanour

Successful Applicant

Supporting the account management and studio team, the successful candidate will lead delivery of a portfolio of global, European, and US-based client accounts and will be accountable for effective delivery, day to day programme execution, client relationships, financial and timeline management on a range of accounts.
