Our client is an award-winning integrated, creative communications agency with design at its heart.  They are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their busy team.

Job Description

The successful applicant will carry out the following day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Senior Account Manager / Account Director in all areas of account management
  • Taking briefs and driving them through the business to the point of and including billing
  • Attending client meetings and calls and producing follow up notes
  • Managing a portfolio of client projects
  • Building strong client relationships, driving a personal reputation for reliability, accuracy and excellent quality
  • Monitoring and chasing work in progress internally and externally
  • Recognising opportunities to generate additional business through upselling, additional out of scope work
  • Managing and resolving any conflicts with the support of the Senior Account Manager / Account Director in order to retain clients
  • Maintaining accurate records in project management systems
  • Proof reading and maintaining excellent quality control on all client work
  • Ensuring briefs are met on time and on budget, using judgment to inform the Senior Account Manager or Account Director where there is a deviation or problem, and provide potential solutions
  • Supporting project costing and producing accurate cost estimates

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience of supporting the management of clients within an agency environment e.g. working as an Account Executive or in a Project Support role
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • A positive attitude with a passion for keeping customers happy
  • A natural aptitude for completing jobs from start to finish with a love of detail and accuracy
  • Natural leadership qualities, happy to coordinate colleagues and clients to ensure projects keep to schedule
  • A growth mindset and good experience of problem solving
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential, a working knowledge of Traffic, Timesheet, project management or scheduling software would be desirable
  • Good commercial awareness and business acumen

  • A motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with a strong work ethic who can oversee projects through from start to finish
  • Have the ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task in a busy, pressurised environment whilst maintaining the highest level of attention to detail
  • Be able to adhere to established guidelines and procedures
  • Be able to recognise the need to involve others in decision-making when appropriate, rather than make decisions alone

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-level and ideally holds a relevant degree or equivalent professional marketing qualification
  • Full driving licence and own car

The Successful Candidate

This is an important and exciting role within the agency with an opportunity to grow for the right candidate.  Under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager / Account Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the operational day-to-day smooth running of client projects.

The focus of this position is the efficient and smooth delivery of client projects on time, on brief and on budget.
