Salary £28,000 - £38,000 pro rata DOE plus benefits

This role is being offered for a minimum 4 days per week.

  • Are you educated to degree level and have qualifications in journalism, English, PR, marketing or communications which are preferable?
  • Do you have a minimum of three years’ PR and Marketing experience as an Account Executive / Manager ideally within the hospitality, tourism and leisure sector or lifestyle sector?
  • Are you an experienced copywriter and enthusiastic storyteller, able to turn your hand to press releases, website copy, email newsletters and award entries - all with excellent spelling and grammar?

About our Client

Our client is a communications agency specialising in the hospitality, tourism and leisure industries. Due to expansion, they are looking for an experienced PR Executive / Manager to join their busy team.

Job Description

The successful applicants’ key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining ongoing detailed knowledge of the clients’ businesses, personnel, operating environment and market, including frequent site visits and face-to-face meetings
  • Helping to achieve monthly business and revenue targets while supporting optimising team resource efficiencies
  • Owning formalised client planning, monitoring and reporting both exposure and end-result bookings / revenue
  • Day-to-day development and execution of PR plans
  • Creating impactful PR campaigns to secure quality media coverage
  • Managing and optimising budgets for clients
  • Attending meetings and events with clients on a frequent basis
  • Maintaining an excellent knowledge of the media and build relationships with key press and influencers
  • Compiling contact reports and update clients regularly by phone, in person and by email when required
  • Sourcing consumer PR ideas and creating angles for features, events, opinions and surveys on behalf of clients, including media liaison and editorial pitching
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends and news in the hospitality, tourism and leisure industries on a regular basis and provide information to the team during meetings
  • Ensuring all projects run to deadline and budget using existing internal processes
  • Researching and attending events to further develop your knowledge in Marketing, PR, Social Media and the industry
  • Speaking on PR challenges and opportunities in hospitality

  • Educated to degree level and qualifications in journalism, English, PR, marketing or communications preferable
  • A minimum of three years’ PR and Marketing experience as an Account Executive / Manager ideally within the hospitality, tourism and leisure sector or lifestyle sector
  • Passionate about the hospitality and events industry.  Our client is an eclectic team whose hobbies help bolster their reputation as hospitality sector specialists
  • Creative, strategic and fearless - they’re looking for brave, witty ideas that deliver measurable results and a sharp communicator with the gravitas to inspire, advise and make recommendations to clients
  • Proactive and hungry "what else?" personality, keen to hunt down opportunities for clients to share knowledge, comment on industry trends and be positioned as influencers
  • Experienced copywriter and enthusiastic storyteller, able to turn your hand to press releases, website copy, email newsletters and award entries - all with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Calm and logical under pressure
  • A whizz at creating and updating comprehensive PR / marketing plans, measuring results and reporting outcomes
  • Confident managing clients, the media, freelance staff and suppliers. You mustn’t be afraid to pick up the phone
