This is a full time, permanent role, but contractors and freelancers will also be considered.

About our Client

We are working for a global hybrid agency who produce content, collateral and campaigns expertly from concept to delivery for their extensive B2B and B2C client base.  They work with some of the biggest global brands and they are now looking for an Associate Director / Junior Account Director to join their busy Healthcare team.

Job Description

The key purpose of the job is:

  • Overall responsibility for managing and strategically developing principal clients
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a total revenue of >£750K per annum
  • Demonstrate sound commercial knowledge by managing targets, reporting and budgeting including forecasting
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for organic client growth
  • Interpret the requirements of the brief and deliver innovative solutions to drive the business forward
  • Play a key role in RFI / RFP and Pitch responses, being able to develop and present these responses to win new business
  • Line management responsibility.  Be able to coach and mentor colleagues up to 4 direct reports
  • Have overall responsibility for the outcome of all projects

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Skills:

  • Immense leadership, people management and motivation skills (both internally and externally) and a proven track record of building lasting relationships with clients
  • Brand expertise and a track record of building successful brands in both primary and secondary care
  • Great presentation skills and ability to drive pitch success
  • Sound understanding of science and medicine, the healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical industry
  • Digitally savvy and a willingness to find new and exciting ways to communicate
  • A proactive, outgoing personality with a genuine enjoyment of client contact and teamwork
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client focussed with excellent client facing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet / exceed timelines
  • Demonstrate professionalism to clients, colleagues and suppliers

Experience - Healthcare:

  • Working with franchise / digital leads and procurement to drive brand strategy and maximise opportunities
  • To be able to work with pharma brands at a strategic level
  • Using healthcare / pharmaceutical insight to help shape the clients’ brands strategic or tactical plans
  • Have working knowledge of the therapy areas and products managed
  • Understand and have the ability, to apply the ABPI (NOAH) codes of practice where required
  • Healthcare Creative agency background
  • Educated to degree standard preferably in life sciences
