This is a full time, permanent role, but contractors and freelancers will also be considered.

About our Client

We are working for a global hybrid agency who produce content, collateral and campaigns expertly from concept to delivery for their extensive B2B and B2C client base.  They work with some of the biggest global brands and they are now looking for an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to join their busy Healthcare team.

Job Description

The key purpose of the job is:

  • Strategically manage and develop client relationships
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a total revenue of >£250k per annum
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for organic client growth
  • Interpret the requirements of the brief and deliver innovative solutions to drive the business forward
  • Line management responsibility. Be able to coach and mentor colleagues
  • Have overall ownership and responsibility for the management of all projects

The ideal candidates’ key responsibilities will be:

  • Ownership of allocated accounts, working to achieve and increase given targets
  • Finding new opportunities with the client and building on those opportunities
  • Where required, work seamlessly with the creative and strategy teams to provide value added input to client meetings and discussions
  • Monitoring project budgets, within time and budget
  • Understanding the challenges faced by clients and their markets
  • Taking client briefs and pro-actively suggesting alternative solutions to the client – adding value, up selling and cross selling where possible
  • Working to ensure that the client has confidence the project will meet or exceed their expectations
  • Confidently suggesting ways to add value and new solutions
  • Having a good understanding of the client brand guidelines
  • Solving problems and offering alternative solutions, supporting pitch proposals and delivery
  • Allowing the client to be the hero – their success is the agency’s success
  • Sourcing suppliers and building quotations
  • Ensure agency processes are followed
  • Manage expected revenue levels, devising plans to identify new revenue streams

Skills:

  • A proven track record of building relationships with clients
  • Digitally savvy and a willingness to find new and exciting ways to communicate
  • A positive, proactive, outgoing personality with a genuine enjoyment of client contact and teamwork
  • Methodical and logical approach
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client focussed with excellent client facing skills
  • Commercial business drive, determination to achieve excellence
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet / exceed timelines
  • Willingness to continuously improve through self-development

Experience:

  • Marketing / Creative agency experience
  • Educated to degree standard preferably in life sciences
  • Ideally with some knowledge of the therapy areas and products to be managed
  • Understanding of ABPI guidelines preferable
