E-Commerce Manager – Cranleigh, Surrey or WFH

Salary £37,000 - £43,000 DOE, plus benefits

Job Description

Due to an exciting period of exceptional growth, our client is building their team of high energy people. The role of E-Commerce Manager is a newly created role, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the company’s operations and growth.

The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities which include:

  • Full management and maintenance of the company website, new product listings, photography, imaging and brand journey to help maximize site visits and conversion rates
  • Design, maintain and build our client’s social media presence
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid promotions across all social channels. Daily interaction / engagement across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn
  • Direct marketing – establishing and growing the email and direct mail marketing plan to produce regular informative campaigns, analysing campaign performance and developing strategies for interactive database growth
  • Creating engaging online content including blogs, graphics, and video
  • Improving and expanding the promotion of products on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay
  • Measuring and reporting performance of all digital marketing campaigns in line with targets
  • Analysis and reporting - develop regular insightful analysing & report website analytics and updating monthly business plan and targets
  • Research of the company’s’ and competitors’ e-commerce trends and technologies to improve website performance
  • Working with developers to integrate new technologies
  • Collaboration with agencies and other third-party suppliers
  • Managing marketing spend within agreed budgets

The ideal candidate will therefore have the following personal qualities, technical knowledge, education and experience:

  • Degree level in Marketing or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong online marketing background
  • Demonstratable experience devising successful digital campaigns
  • Understand the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and Search Engine Optimisation
  • An interest in golf and knowledge of the industry would be advantageous
  • Technical skills with good working knowledge of Magento, HTML, UX, Adobe photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics, SEM Rush (or similar), Woo Commerce and Salesforce
  • Good understanding of SEO practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time-management skills along with the ability to multitask a variety of projects
  • Decision making skills with the ability to respond to issues and implement suitable resolutions

The Successful Candidate

This role will be absolutely pivotal in driving our client’s e-commerce business and furthering their success. You will be responsible for managing the performance of the website and you will be focused on the day-to-day sales from the site and the longer-term digital strategy of the company.
