Account Executive – Part-time, 9-month contract initially, Odiham, Hampshire

Salary £14,500 based on part-time hours, plus benefits

This role is being offered as a part-time, 9-month contract initially, with the potential of becoming permanent for the right candidate over time.  The hours of work are currently 5 hours per day, spread over 4 days per week (flexibility of hours will be considered); with an increase in hours hopeful.

About our Client

Our client is a full-service creative agency based in Hampshire with a client base spanning the globe.  With expertise in creative, marketing, digital, media, PR and video creation, they are looking for an Account Executive on a part-time 9-month contract initially to join their busy team.

Job Description

Our client is looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience as an Account Executive. The successful candidate will be required to work across digital and traditional marketing projects. The role within the agency will be to support on / run projects on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that they operate smoothly and achieve their potential.

Daily contact with clients is a key part of the job, so the ability to offer new and forward-thinking ideas is essential. You will be expected to present and discuss projects with clients, so should be confident, with the ability to adapt and react quickly to ever changing briefs and deadlines. The ability to be persuasive when necessary to promote the agency’s ideas is important.

The successful applicant will carry out the following typical activities:

  • The day-to-day management of clients’ marketing campaigns
  • Pro-active leadership that encourages internal teams to perform to the best of their ability
  • Regular communication and liaison with clients at a senior level and internally with your manager
  • The organisation of client feedback
  • Generating accurate reports and status notifications
  • Presenting fresh and innovative ideas to clients
  • Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
  • Using your knowledge and skills to push clients, the team and the agency in the most productive direction
  • Well-versed in social media. Understanding of the different channels and how to build a social strategy

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Solid foundation in professional client relationship management
  • Experience of design and marketing – online and offline
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
  • Knowledge of using Hubspot
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Effective team management capabilities
  • Excellent copywriting skills, especially for social channels. To be able to listen to the client, take the brief and articulate in precise clear copy
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
  • Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms
  • Willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideas
  • The ability to work as an authoritative figure in a busy team
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organisations
  • A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables
  • Business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment

The Successful Candidate

This is an office-based role that will require you to spend time in meetings, face to face and virtual. It can be demanding, so real motivation is required to thrive. Working hours can be agreed; from time-to-time deadlines may stretch them.

Overall, our client is looking for someone who can be depended on, to give projects direction and maintain a clear strategy to achieve the very best outcome for clients and for the agency.
