Paying up to £48,000 DOE plus benefits

This role is being offered on a 12-month Fixed-Term contract initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right person over time.

About our Client

Our client is an award-winning integrated, creative communications agency with design at its heart.  They are looking to recruit an Account Director to join their busy team.

Job Description

The successful applicant will carry out the following day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Write and agree annual account plans and manage accounts on a monthly basis to meet these goals
  • Own specific client revenue targets and proactively drive client revenue, providing financial intelligence such as forecasting and pipelines, profitability and investment (where appropriate)
  • Work proactively with all levels of seniority within the clients’ teams to help develop their businesses
  • Build, establish and secure ongoing relationships with senior points of contacts / decision makers
  • On occasion you will be expected to contribute to winning new business outside of your day-to-day clients
  • Proactively seek and create new business opportunities within your clients
  • Lead, support and manage junior members of the client team when working with them on projects, giving them the responsibility for the day-to-day workload and prioritisation of work
  • Hold internal and external client reviews on a regular basis
  • End-to-end client service, from taking briefs and overseeing projects and being accountable that work aligns to the brief, through the business to the point of billing
  • Constantly review the way our client works to benefit their clients and the agency – looking for smarter and more efficient ways of working
  • Proactively drive client relationships
  • Delegation of authority

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have knowledge and skill in how to successfully influence and persuade others by understanding their individual needs and motivations are essential
  • Have 5 years’ plus experience within another agency (marketing, design or creative agency)
  • Have experience of large complex accounts
  • Have experience and proven track record of relationship management
  • Have experience and proven track record of protecting, growing and nurturing clients
  • Have strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Be able to take the lead and assume full responsibility for the service that our client provides to their client
  • Have experience of managing people
  • Have outstanding written and oral communication
  • Be confident and have engaging presentation skills
  • Possess negotiation skills
  • Possess good management skills and provide motivation of client team
  • Be competent at problem solving
  • Implement project costing

Qualifications:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional qualification such as IDM or CIM
  • Full driving license and own car

The Successful Candidate

This is a key, senior role within the agency and you will be taking responsibility for some of the largest clients and their many touch points. You will be responsible for making connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results. Whilst there is not currently the expectation to line manage a team, you will be expected

to be a role model to more junior members of the team, demonstrating a consistent high level of service to the clients, whilst being passionate about the work undertaken – a real ambassador for the agency.
